Since starting work as an editor, I have had the opportunity to work in many different genres and have garnered a lot of experience in each. This includes documentary, reality tv, sizzles and short films, among others. If there is a genre or format I haven't done, I learn it.

 

My specialty is editing, but I have experience in all aspects of production, ranging from writing, through shooting and of course post production. I love when I get the opportunity to expand my skills. I mostly use Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects, but can use Final Cut Pro and AVID. I've developed strong skills in Sound Mixing and Color Correction, and often use these skills to finalize projects. I am a very fast worker, and learn new software and applications quickly. I play well with others, and am usually relaxed even in stressful situations.

I have also delved into writing with several screenplays and self-published short stories, published under the pseudonym East Oakley. 

 

I have a BFA in Film & Video, Editing, from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City. Originally hailing from Silver Spring, MD, I currently live and work in the Washington, DC area.

 

I've been a freelance editor for over a decade and am always ready for the next project.
